It's as if you stepped back in time. A corner house Pub, with a cosy atmosphere, quiet pub, enjoyable food, and a Tate & Lyle Tea house environment in one Place. A part of history to be preserved. Highly recommended to drop in for food, drink, stays in rooms above. And in Bristol. Its a quiet lovely location. When exploring Bristol. To stumble across the place is fantastic.

The Fox. A former pub, now cafe and B&B. I believe you can still get a drink in the bar if you are a resident once the cafe is shut. What a great way to keep on old pub running. I have not been to the Fox for at least 5 years or more, and had starved myself that morning for The Big Fox Breakfast! Apart from a bit of a wait which they apologised for (and gave me an extra egg and sausage as a decent gesture) the breakfast was as great as I remember it. Great quality ingredients, freshly cooked to perfection, and just what I needed. The place was busy with workers who are part of the big property developments that are springing up in and around temple meads. Some of the guys were staying above the Fox and love it! There is also a garden out the back with seating if you want to go Al Fresco in your high viz!

Summary: Food great, staff and service great, price great. I've visited this cafe with a friend a few times over the past six months but forgot to leave a review until now. This place has a classic old skool 'greasy spoon' vibe, which I mean in all the best possible Kenny Everett taste. The food isn’t greasy though, it’s a proper English breakfast done right, with just the right amount of indulgence, and very filling portions. The staff are straightforward and unpretentious, yet kind and polite. The food is very reasonably priced, and if memory serves, I think comes with a gratuitous mug of tea or coffee included in the price of the breakfast (don’t quote me, as I might be wrong). A word of caution – use it or lose it - with a growing number of student accommodation places being built in the area, this cafe will likely soon vanish as fast as pubs off the high street. Hopefully people will make it their ‘go-to’ breakfast & other food destination (I’m not the owner / a member of staff).

A very cozy and welcoming pub. I came here to have some coffee while waiting for the garage to fix my car and i was so glad i did it. The staff was very kind and the coffee was delicious. Also the temperature was perfect, which i am grateful for as it was freezing outside. Thank you!
